This week, Tristan and his WHITEBOARD go into the Home Insurance stage of the home buying process.  We've got the home inspection in progress - you also need to get on the phone with your insurance professional and make sure you can get your home insured properly!

In Episode #10.1 - we cover home insurance as it relates to the purchase agreement - time frames, what to look for, getting it done before closing.

Episode #10.2 is the fun one where I comment on 6 insurance red flag issues.  These are things I know some insurance companies may not cover or will need more money to insure.  Very important to know this kind of stuff while looking at the home.

What is a home inspection?

Now that the offer is signed and accepted, and you've been out all night celebrating...

It's time to rock and roll.

Let's get the home inspection started!

In Episode 9.1, we break down the contract side of the inspection...time frames, things to expect, what to watch out for.

Episode 9.2 follows up with negotiating with the seller for repairs.

I added Episode 9.3 as there is often much confusion about the difference between the home inspection and the required condition inspection provided by the home appraiser - most often a concern for VA and FHA properties.

I break the pattern a bit in Episode 9.4 to tell a story (from a seller's side, actually) about why you SHOULD get a home inspection.  It is important....these buyers missed out on a bunch by waiving it.  Watch the story.

In Episode 8.1, we cover making the offer - what to expect, the parts of the offer (fun paperwork stuff) and how the whole thing plays out.
